ABOUT

An advisory firm built to remove its own conflict of interest.

Formerly CNJ Capital Group, CNJ Elevate represents the evolution of a firm with decades of experience in business advisory, valuation, and corporate structuring. The 2026 name change reflects a deliberate decision: to move away from transaction-driven models and focus exclusively on corporate readiness, exit feasibility, and ownership transition.

What we do

What we do not do

CNJ Elevate is not a registered broker-dealer. We are not registered with FINRA or the SEC, and we do not effect securities transactions.

We do not act as a business broker, do not represent buyers or sellers in a transaction, and receive no success fees, finder’s fees, or transaction-based compensation of any kind. This is a deliberate structure, not an omission—it allows our assessment to be independent of whether a sale happens. Read the full disclaimer and conflict-of-interest  disclosure →

MISSION

Judge honestly. Elevate what can be elevated.

To determine truthfully whether a business can be sold from the owner’s point of view and, where it can, to raise it to the standard buyers require.

VISION

The most trusted name in family business exit strategy.

Trust earned the only way it can be – by being the advisor who says no when no is the right answer.

WHY OWNERS CHOOSE US

The problems we are built for are the ones owners cannot see.

We do not broker deals, sell securities, or earn commissions. Because our fee does not depend on a transaction closing, we are free to tell an owner the one thing a broker cannot: that the business is not ready or should not be sold at all.

OWNER DEPENDENCY

"It doesn't run without me."

The single most common reason a profitable business fails to sell. A buyer is not purchasing your effort they are purchasing a system that survives your departure.

FINANCIAL PRESENTATION

Books built for taxes, not for buyers.

Years of legitimate tax minimization can make a strong business look weak on paper. Recasting earnings correctly and defensibly is often the highest-return work we do.

OWNERSHIP CLARITY

"It's family we never wrote it down."

Informal arrangements among spouses, children, and siblings are among the most dangerous risks in due diligence. They are also among the most fixable -if addressed early.

VALUATION GAP

"Just the equipment is worth what I'm asking."

Buyers do not pay for what you own. They pay for what the business keeps earning after you hand over the keys. Equipment and inventory are usually counted near what a liquidator would pay often a fraction of what you spent.

THE MOST EXPENSIVE MISUNDERSTANDING

What you built and what sets the price are not the same list.

This is the gap we see most often, and it is the one that costs the most. An owner spends thirty years buying machines and filling a warehouse, and assumes that is the price. A buyer looks past all of it and asks one question: will this still make money next year without him?

What owners often count

What buyers actually pay for

The left-hand column is not wrong about what matters to you. It is simply not what sets the price. Where the two lists differ is where the work is – and most of it is work that can still be done.
